Portfolio
The commitment and flexibility of the ATD skillbase has resulted in a varied portfolio of schemes both in general construction and Civil Engineering; here are some projects that we have completed over the last 10 years:

SPITFIRE SCULPTURES, ERDINGTON, BIRMINGHAM

We were privileged to be appointed by Birmingham City Council as Main Contractor and Foundation Engineers. Working closely with Designers Maunsell and various suppliers and contractors we were able to convert an incredible concept into a major city landmark.

Not only has the project received critical acclaim, but also received substantial recognition from the Civil Engineering Industry by WINNING the Institute of Civil Engineers Project Award for 2001 (Midlands Association)

ER Mason Youth Centre, Birmingham

ATD Limited were responsible for both the Design and Construction of this high-quality and durable inner-city Youth Facility.

The project was very much a partnership effort between ourselves, the scheme sponsor Crest Nicholson Regeneration Limited and Birmingham City Council.

The Centre is now a vital part of the Local Community.

Aston Lane, Aston, Birmingham, Road Junction Improvements for New Tesco Store

Here we have ATD Limited in full partnership both up and down the Supply Chain.

ATD Limited has a strategic partnership with Siemens Traffic Control thus allowing co-ordinated installation of this complex scheme.

SUBWAY INFILLING

Introduction

Many cities were given over to the automobile in the 60’s and 70’s resulting in the construction of numerous pedestrian subways, not just in city centres, but also within new housing estates.

The Problem

The majority of these subways soon became magnets for vandals, fly-tippers, muggers and drug takers, and they are difficult/costly to maintain and are often rarely used. Often the perception of misuse is as bad as the reality.

The Solution = ATD Limited

We have substantial experience in the decommissioning, in-filling and paving over of redundant subways, tunnels, ramps and steps, even in the most congested of City Centres. We often install new Pelican crossing to replace the sub ways, and will co-ordinate all of the works from design to delivery.

Client: Birmingham City Council

Value: Total over 10 years=circa £6M
